Founder & Lead Coach
Rajesh Pawar, founder and the lead coach of Safe Girls Foundation had a 24 years long service in the Indian army including tenures with the elite Special Forces (PARA Commandos) and Special Frontier Force. He has been trained in unarmed combat (specialization in Krav Maga and Aikido) in various prestigious institutions in India and abroad. As a Special Forces Skills Instructor in a premier military academy he trained soldiers in various martial arts, Guerrilla warfare, unarmed combat (UAC) and survival skills. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and a master’s degree in International Humanitarian action from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany and University of Groningen, Netherlands. Under the SAFE GIRLS initiative, in his personal capacity, he has conducted training for lady police officers in some of the top police academies and police training colleges in several states. So far, he has trained more than nine thousand girls all over India.
